Overnight on the 7th December storm Darragh paid a visit to the South West of England.
Odd Down is exposed and high, so it was no real surprise that a call came in from the staff at the site early Sunday morning.
The Lacrosse storage shed’s roof was sitting on the playing pitch and all the kit inside exposed to the elements
It has taken years and a lot of negotiation to get a storage shed onto the site, and, although all the kit was rescued and taken back to the lock up in Trowbridge, it makes it difficult to accommodate training and have kit on hand for any beginners that turn up and want to try Lacrosse.
This is also the second metal shed that has blown down, maybe it’s time to look for something more robust, but that could be costly.
Big club thanks to Ben King and Nik Roberts, who dropped everything to drive back and forth from Trowbridge to tidy up the site and make the area as safe as possible, next visit will be to take the remains to the scrap yard.
