The Southwest tournament at Westonbirt would be regarded as a good day for the mighty Bath Womens squad.
The team performed well, competing in all areas on the pitch in both games on the day against tough opposition.
In the first match of the day, Bristol Bombers brought much more physical lacrosse to the game, which in general Bath handled well, although, for some of the younger players it was certainly a baptism of fire. Despite losing 14:4, the score does not represent how competitive Bath were on the field of play, some better finishing or choice of final pass might have seen a closer score line.
In the second game (after a long wait of nearly 3 hours) Bath realised their potential, coming from behind to take the game against a solid Cirencester outfit 14:10.
This is a tough division for Bath and the squad is giving a good account of itself
