Summer training off to a good start

Both the Men’s and women’s players got together for a pre-season training session at Hampset Cricket club on Tuesday 18th

The 6 Women and 11 men trained together, working on some basic movement off and with the ball, cutting off a pick, feeding and man down defence. However, the favourite routine was probably playing stuck in the mud to warm up.

The session also gave the opportunity to start training a new Women’s keeper, Elise Mantay. Elise came to the 2025 bath Eights as a volunteer and ended up keeping for the Armed forces team.

Turns out she’s a natural, and despite the bruises, enjoyed the game. Although wearing a Navy Shirt was a little tricky for an Army girl 😊
