Bath University retained the Jon Harrop Cup with a comfortable margin at the end of a closely fought game of lacrosse
City had plenty of chances but failed to convert and the half time score of 3:1 was a fair reflection of the game. Only Wilmot managing to get om the score sheet with a solo effort in the first quarter.
Both teams had plenty of possession and both keepers were solid. But in the end the student’s better fitness and better outside shots proved the decider, alongside a very good tactical change at face off, using a long pole to stifle Sam Kettle.
Although the City won almost every initial face, the scrap for the following groundball went the student’s way.
