Bath are looking like top half of the table material this season, the addition of some very competent players with the existing 2nd year students makes the team much more settled and competent and with only one new player was on display in this tournament, the Bath squad were no pushover

Roberts looks official

Unfortunately, Bath are in an area of slight limbo, skill wise this season, too good for the other fresher teams but not quite at the right level to dominate the stronger clubs. This was proved by the results, close games against Bombers, Seagulls and Cheltenham and extremely dominant games against Swansea, Cardiff and Exeter.

Tania Coxon drives

The record of 3 wins and 3 losses is the best result since Bath joined the league and certainly places the squad in the top 5 in the league.

Beth Carey shoots

Player wise, Captain Irene Moynihan continues to be a real find in the goals, pulling off some fine saves, the clear is pretty good, and once some mobility and intimidation is added to the armoury, Irene will be a force to be reckoned with.

Abi Chell on the move

In outfield play Tania Coxon proved she can shoot and Beth Carey gets in some good positions, although missing a completely open goal might lead to some leg pulling in the future. Both are starting to get a good understanding alongside Carolyn Keber.

Tora Joicey provided plenty of energy in transition and in Defence Abi Chell continues to improve.

One memorable clear by Joicey resulted in a well-structured fast break and goal.

The next tournament in December should see the bigger teams giving Bath much more respect.
